Using PayPal Website Payments Pro for credit card processing

Paypal have introduced an alternative credit card processing gateway for web merchants called Webite Payments Pro and we have now added this as another option for our WebGallery 3 users in the USA, UK & Canada. (Currently Paypal don't offer this service outside of these countries).

The main advantage of the "Website Payment Pro" system over their traditional system is the payment processing occurs within the WebGallery's Checkout area rather that requiring the customer to go to Paypal's web site (in another browser window), making the payment there and having to navigate back to the WebGallery window.

Because the payment results are immediately available to the WebGallery system, it is much easier to notify the customer of a problem with their card or entry so they can take steps to correct it without leaving the WebGallery area.

The downside is that Paypal charge a monthly fee for this facility (currently US$30/month), plus a percentage of the sale price which varies depending on your monthly credit card turnover. You will find details of these costs on the Website Payments Pro: Pricing page.

Note: TimeExposure do NOT charge any commission on sales made through the WebGallery system.
