Exporting a Layout to a file
Exporting a layout into a file is generally done to produce a high-res image of a "layout with images". To do this you will need the high-res production option.
However, you can create a low-res (ie screen-sized or smaller) image file of your completed layout by selecting one or more layouts (in Thumbnail View), then selecting "Export Select Sample Layouts" from the File Menu.
Hint:
Exported images do not contain an embedded color profile but they are in sRGB color space. If you need to add a profile, open them in Photoshop and assign the sRGB profile to them (and then optionally convert them into another color space if you need to).
