Template sizing for price list items

Each template can be set to a default "type" of Traditional Matted or Composite. This controls how the sizing will be set when used as a Layout.

When creating a price list item for a template (Price List Setup under Orders menu), if you want the final product sized by the overall size of the template, make sure you set the "Set Size by" to be "Overall Size (Composite Layout)" option (under Layouts Tab).  Otherwise it will be sized by the main opening.

Setting or Changing a Templates "Type"

This is done under the Layouts Tab of the Price List Setup area using either the "Add" button for a new Price List Item, or the "Change" button when selecting an existing Price List Item that you wish to change.

Please see this article for more information about sizing including "Traditional Matted " versus "Composite " Sizes and changing the type setting of a Layout (a template that's been used!).

Hint about Template Sizing

While you can design a template to a specific size, because all of ProSelect’s templates are scalable (unless you choose "Fixed Size" in the template attributes), the overall size of a template and the sizes and positions of its openings are really for design purposes only. That is, it does not matter what size you make them as long as the proportions correct.
