If you wish to move the ProSelect Network Server software to a different computer, then the following steps will assist you with this:

  1. In one copy of ProSelect, use ProSelect Data -> Use Export Data To... (under File Menu) to get a backup copy of the latest ProSelect_data.xml file.
  2. Make a backup copy of your shared ProSelect Resources folder.
  3. Turn off sharing on all copies of ProSelect
  4. Close all copies of ProSelect
  5. Turn off the ProSelect Network Server
  6. Uninstall it from the computer that it was on.
  7. Install it on your new computer and start it up.
  8. In the ProSelect Network Server's main window, set the ProSelect version (2015r1) and turn on Allow All users to Read and Update (if not already on)
  9. Copy your shard ProSelect Resources Folder to its new shared location (if you are moving this too).
  10. Start one copy of ProSelect
  11. Open the Preferences -> General Settings -> Sharing
  12. Select to use the Network Server
  13. In the Setup Window:

      (a) Make sure that the new server is found (at the top)
      (b) Select the new Resource Folder location (if you moved this)
      (c) Use the Upload button to send the current ProSelect_Data to the new Server.

  14. Close and re-open this copy of ProSelect to make sure it is connecting to the server correctly
  15. Check that your Price and Templates data is correct in the copy.
  16. On each other ProSelect computer repeat Steps 13 (a) and (b) but NOT (c).
  17. On the ProSelect Network Server you can optionally turn off Allow All users to Read and Update and use the Set Permissions area.
