Sales

Currency Conversion
  • We use Stripe for processing new credit card payments.
  • Prices default to US dollars, but will automatically adjust to AUD$, NZ$, CAD$, UK pounds, or Euros based on your location or chosen preference using the currency popup menu.
  • Non-US dollar prices will reflect changes in international exchange rates.
  • You may pay in any currency, but selecting your local currency can help avoid additional bank or credit card conversion fees.

Refunds
  • Policy: As our products are available as fully functional trials for suitability assessment before purchase, we do not offer refunds once a purchase is made.

Delivery
  • Online activation takes place using account email and password.
  • Software is delivered as a download from ProStudioSoftware.com

Third Party Product Sales
  • Purchasing third-party products from us means consenting to share your purchase details with the provider, including your name, email, and product details. Additional information may be shared if necessary for fulfillment (like delivery address for physical goods).

Website Security
  • Transaction Security: Transactions are secured using Stripe with 128-bit SSL encryption.
  • Fraud Prevention: IP addresses are recorded for each transaction to aid in fraud identification.

Sale, Discounted Pricing or Special Offers
  • We may offer limited-time sales, discounts, or bonus pricing.
  • Detailed in our newsletter, terms are subject to change and errors.
  • Retroactive sale pricing may apply for transactions within 7 days before a sale, subject to terms compliance.
  • Submit a Support Ticket to Sales for adjustments before the sale ends. Multiple offers cannot be combined.

Invoices & Receipts
  • Invoices/Receipts are emailed post-transaction for payments and purchases.
  • Invoices are available in your account for invoices from March 2022 onwards.
  • Requests for earlier invoices may incur an admin fee at our discretion.

ProSelect Subscription

Usage and rights
  • The ProSelect Subscription allows for monthly, semi-annual, or annual prepayment for a license to use the ProSelect software.
  • If a subscription is cancelled or suspended, the right to use any version of ProSelect is revoked.

Minimum Lease Period & Cancellation
  • The minimum commitment for a subscription is six months.
  • Subscriptions can be cancelled after five months from the start date, with cancellation becoming effective on the date of the next scheduled monthly payment.
  • Reactivating a cancelled subscription is treated as a new agreement, with a new six-month minimum period.

Payments
  • Payments are billed or monthly, semi-annually, or annually on the same date each month or year as the initial subscription start date.
  • Charges are made from the United States in the selected currency. Non-U.S. customers should verify their bank's policy on overseas charges by Pro Studio Software, Inc.
  • The subscription may be cancelled by Pro Studio Software, Inc. if more than three consecutive monthly payments are rejected.

Failure to Make Payments
  • A missed payment will lead to automatic suspension of the subscription and software deactivation after seven days.
  • Email reminders will be sent for failed payments, with options to update credit card information and manually process payments.
  • Subscriptions automatically cancel after six payments if payments continue to fail. In such cases, outstanding charges for the minimum period will still apply.

Periodic Activation
  • A subscribed ProSelect license requires weekly reactivation.
  • Regular internet connection is recommended for automatic reactivation.

License Modifications
  • Subscribers can change their license type (e.g., Basic to Pro) or adjust the number of users at any time, at current rates.
  • Added charges are prorated and charged at the time of the upgrade. Downgrades take effect at the next payment date.

Pausing and Resuming Subscription
  • After the initial six-month period, subscriptions can be paused and resumed, provided the account is in good standing.
  • Once resumed, you will need to wait until after your next subscription payment before you can pause it again.
  • Subscriptions cannot be paused more than six months in a 12-month period without affecting price-locking.

Use of Add-ons
  • ProSelect Add-ons purchased remain accessible, as long as they are compatible with the current version of ProSelect.
  • Add-ons can continue to be used if a subscription is restarted before its end date, or a new subscription is ordered.

Refund Requests
  • To cancel your account (after six month minimum period) without incurring charges, cancellation must be initiated at least 72 hours before your upcoming renewal date. This applies to monthly, semi-annual, or annual subscriptions.
  • If a charge has already been processed, refund requests made within five days of the charge are eligible for a refund. However, these are subject to a service fee of 20% of the charged amount, with a minimum fee of $10.00.
  • Refund requests submitted more than five days after a charge has been processed will incur the full monthly charges, with no refunds available.

Subscription Termination
  • Pro Studio Software reserves the right to terminate the ProSelect Subscription program with a 90-day notice.

Convert to Subscription

Owners of earlier versions of ProSelect can convert their existing licenses to a ProSelect Subscription, granting access to the latest version of the software. As part of this conversion:

  • ProSelect license owners are eligible for a 40% discount on the regular subscription rates, applicable to their specific license configuration. This includes a 40% discount on a Pro subscription for ProSelect Pro owners. If your license covers multiple users, the discount extends to the equivalent number of users in your new subscription.
  • The 40% discount is valid for the first 24 months of your subscription, provided the conversion to a subscription is completed by July 31, 2024. Conversions occurring between August 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024, will receive a 20% discount.
  • Following the discounted period, your subscription will continue at the regular monthly rate corresponding to your license configuration at the time of conversion.
  • Pro Studio Software may alter the discount rates and periods for future conversions, but rates for existing conversions will remain consistent with the terms set at the time of conversion. However, if a subscription is terminated, cancelled, or paused for more than six months within any 12-month period, the rate may be subject to change.

Please note that upon converting your license to a subscription, the original license will be cancelled, and access to the version associated with that license will be discontinued.

Support Availability

Free Self-Help Support
  • We offer a range of free Self-Help Resources on our website, including reference manuals, tutorial movies, knowledge base articles, training recordings, and access to the Facebook User Group (subject to group rules).
  • As a holder of a license or subscriber, you can download software at no cost for up to five years from the release date of your version. You can also update your contact details and recover ProSelect registration keys and passwords by logging in with your registered email. Requests for software deactivations on specific devices can be made for non-obsolete versions. We reserve the right to refuse deactivation requests.

Access to Online Support Personnel
  • Online support is accessible via the Support Ticket system found in our Support Resources section.
  • Free ProSelect technical support is available to current ProSelect Subscribers and PLUS account holders. This support complements our Self-Help Resources and is subject to reasonable usage limits, as determined by our support staff.

Non-Subscribers
  • For legacy license holders, you can still access our support personnel for technical assistance through our website or online meetings. This service is available for USD$125.00 per hour. To use this service, log into your Pro Studio Software account and submit a Support Ticket to the Account Assistance Department. Please note, support for older software versions may not be available.

Downloading the Software
  • If you have a current, non-obsolete version of ProSelect, you can download it at no charge. We recommend maintaining an offline backup of the latest ProSelect installer and your registration keys, which can be found in your account.

Obsolete Software Versions
  • ProSelect versions that are more than 5 years old are considered obsolete. Obsolete software and registration keys are removed from our servers.
  • License owners will be notified via email and/or through ProSelect's internal messaging system at least one month before removal. This notification is to encourage the download and saving of necessary installers and keys.
  • Ensure your email address is current and capable of receiving communications from Pro Studio Software. After the removal of obsolete versions, we cannot provide installers or registration keys for those versions.
  • Software deactivations can only be completed through the ProSelect application. Deactivations via server-side (through Support) are not available.

SendMyRooms Client Connection

Client Movie Licensing Terms

If your Subscription with Pro Studio Software is current, you are granted a license to use the SendMyRooms Client movie as the basis for creating a derivative work. This license is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Distribution of Derivative Work:
    • The derivative work can only be made publicly available through the SendMyRoom website or your business website.
    • It is not permitted to post the derivative work on social media, file sharing, or movie sharing platforms.
  2. Content Requirements:
    • The derivative work must prominently display at least one visible reference to the SendMyRooms.com service and website.
    • There must be at least one verbal mention of the SendMyRooms.com service and website in the soundtrack of the derivative work.
  3. Logo and Content Integrity:
    • The SendMyRooms logo and any content showing the operation of the SendMyRooms.com website cannot be altered or modified.
  4. License Assignment:
    • This license is non-transferable and cannot be assigned to others without written permission from Pro Studio Software.
  5. Image Uploading Requirements:
    • Any client-uploaded images must showcase the SendMyRooms user interface.
  6. Conditions Upon Subscription Cancellation or Termination:
    • If you do not have a current subscription, you are required to promptly remove the derivative work from all websites and destroy all copies of the derivative work, including any work files used in its creation.
  7. Breach of Terms:
    • Violating these terms may lead to the cancellation of your Pro Studio Software product licenses and potential legal action for recovery of damages.

ProSelect Licensing

How many ProSelect licenses do I need?
  • When you subscribe to ProSelect, you receive a license to use the software. Each license is linked to one business and one physical location. If a business has multiple locations (as evidenced by public listings on websites, social media, directories, or legal filings), each location requires a separate license.

Users per License
  • Licenses are purchased for a specific number of users. This determines how many computers can run ProSelect simultaneously at a single business location. For example, a single-user license allows one instance of ProSelect to run at a time, while a two-user license permits two computers to run ProSelect concurrently.
  • Each license allows activation on one additional computer, intended for a laptop used for business purposes away from the licensed location. This extra activation cannot be used by remote users servicing the business. For instance, with a one-user license, ProSelect can be installed on a production computer and a laptop for sales presentations or the owners studio computer and laptop.

Usage Scenarios
  • If a studio operated by one person with a one-user license uses ProSelect on a production computer and then on a laptop for sales (not concurrently), it complies with the license agreement.
  • However, simultaneous use of ProSelect in production and sales, whether on-site or off-site, necessitates a two-user (or more) license.

Activation and Compliance Monitoring
  • ProSelect activations and usage are monitored. If a potential licensing violation is detected, a warning screen may appear, or reactivation might be blocked. Any issues can be addressed with our support team.
  • ProSelect must be installed only at the licensed physical location unless the remote user is exclusively servicing the physical location. Documentation and clarification must be provided upon request. The location is indicated on the About Screen under the Registration tab within ProSelect.

Multiple Locations and Market Areas
  • Separate licenses are required for each business location or for business activities in different market areas. This applies even if your business operates in another town or has multiple listed locations. Additional licenses are necessary, not just additional users.
  • If operating eight or more copies at one location, a Single-location Site License is available.
  • For studios requiring more than ten licenses across multiple locations, Enterprise subscriptions are available.

Product Activation
  • ProSelect requires online activation and periodic reactivation for each machine it's installed on. This process is automatic if the computer is connected to the internet. Manual activation is not supported.

Change of Registered Name
  • ProSelect licenses are issued to a specific business entity. A change in the registered business name is permitted if the legal name of the existing business changes. Pro Studio Software may request evidence of this. Business name changes are only possible for current subscribers and may only be changed once per year.
  • If a business is sold, a new subscription agreement is required. Legacy discounts may not be transferred to different business entities.

PLUS & Upgrades

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Changes to PLUS Renewal Terms

End of PLUS Renewal for Purchased License Accounts:

  • Starting January 1, 2024, accounts that have purchased licenses (not on a subscription model) will no longer have the option to renew their PLUS service.

Restrictions for Accounts with Expired PLUS:

  • Accounts whose PLUS service has already expired cannot renew or their PLUS.
  • Changes cannot be made to the existing license including adding users or converting from Basic to Pro.
  • However, these accounts have the option to convert to a ProSelect subscription. This conversion comes with a discount offer. Discount period ends 12-31-2024.

Software Update Policy

While Pro Studio Software's goal is to create products that operate without problems, we acknowledge that complex pieces of software are never perfect. Since ProSelect needs to interact with your computer's operating system (i.e. macOS or Windows) and other third-party products (such as Photoshop or Lightroom), changes and updates made by other parties can effect the performance and reliability of the software.

When we are made aware of a bug, error, or incompatibility, Pro Studio Software will do its best to resolve the problem as soon as possible with a software update. Depending on timing, this may be in a minor update to the latest version or included with the next major release of the software. Non-current versions of the software are not updated.

Minor updates (eg 2024r1.1, 2024r1.2 etc) are free to all users whose license is for the latest version. regardless of whether their PLUS is current or not. Major releases (eg 2024r2, 2024r3, 2025r1, etc.) are only included for users with subscriptions or whose PLUS is current on the official release date of that version.
