Using Photoshop Templates in ProSelect

ProSelect supports the ability to add Photoshop templates within the program or you can create templates yourself using ProSelect's built-in Template Editor. These can be either Traditional Matted Templates or Composite Templates (for digital books).

Your initial files are generally .psd files and can be added as an Overlay Image to a template.

  1. If you already know how to create templates in ProSelect, then watch the "All About Templates Part II".  Others also on this topic are "Template Temptations | Features to lure you!" and "Templates | New Features that give you design freedom". You will find these in the Webinar Archives area (under the Training menu on the ProStudio Software website).

  2. If you would like to learn about creating and editing templates then see "All About Templates Part I" Webinar.

These subjects are also covered in more detail in the ProSelect Reference Manual (quick access under the Help menu in ProSelect).

Further information

If you have a favorite template Company and they haven't yet created their templates for using in ProSelect, then you are welcome to let them know to contact us through our Support Center (under the Support Menu on the ProStudio Software website) on how to do this (choose Submit a New Ticket). They may also like to be included in our ProSelect Resources web page.

If you are building Digital albums, then we also offer our Composite Album Collections I & II ready to use.  All the templates are scalable (and stretchable) so you can use them for a wide range of different sized books also. And as with all templates in ProSelect, you can further customize those designs with just a few mouse clicks.
