Can I use ProSelect if not connected to Internet?

All versions of ProSelect need to be periodically re-activated to keep operating. When you are connected to the internet, this happens automatically in the background so you will likely never notice this. 

Outright licenses require re-activation every 90 days unless they have been activated manually in which case re-activation is not required until after 180 days.

Leased licenses require re-activation every 7-14 days so it is recommended that, with a lease, you keep your computer connected to the internet most of the time to avoid it becoming de-activated unexpectantly. Leases cannot be manually activated so you must always use the On-line Registration/Activation option.

How long to my next activation?

If you open the About ProSelect window and look under the Registration Tab, you will see the number of days to the next re-activation.

 

Temporarily without Internet access?

If you know that you are going to be without internet access when your next activation is due, you can force an immediate re-activation so you have the maximum amount of time to your next re-activation date.

You can do this two ways (both require internet access):

(a) Use Update Registration (under the Help Menu in ProSelect), confirm that you wish to do this, select the Register Online, enter your TimeExposure email address and password, and click the Register button.

 

(b) De-activate ProSelect (under the Help menu in ProSelect) and close the software. Relaunch and re-activate it. See About ProSelect Activations for more about this option. 

Other Considerations

Remember, when you aren't connected to the Internet, you won't be able to access ProSelect Messages, SendmyRooms, or download any PLUS Music or Graphics library resources. You also won't be able to de-activate a computer in case you need to activate it on another machine.
