Perfectly Clear Error Codes

The Perfectly Clear(TM) retouching libraries used by ProSelect utilize sophisticated AI algorithms to identify people, faces and other areas within an image. This is done by "training" the software with a large number of sample images.

The result is that the software is very good at picking out faces in most photographs however, occasionally some features may not work with some images and, when this happens, it will return an error code that provides more details of the problem.

In ProSelect 2020r1.5 and newer, we now display any error codes that are returned by Perfectly Clear to help you identify why it may not be not working as expected when you apply a Pretouching Preset to an image in ProSelect.

Too Many Errors Messages?

There may be some minor errors that frequently occur with your images that you are happy to ignore. If so, please submit a support ticket to us with the error number that you are getting. Since we do not know which ones these are so, we report all errors to you by default. Based on our users' feedback, we may add the option in the future to turn off reporting of minor errors that are advised to us, so please let us know.

Size does matter!

When applying a pre-touching preset to a preview image in ProSelect, only the low-res copy of the image saved in the album file is sent to the Perfectly Clear software. When you select to also use that preset during High-Res Production, the full-sized image is then sent.

In most cases, the results are the exactly same, however, occasionally if an image is close to the limits of what Perfectly Clear needs to work with, the pre-touching may work with the smaller images and not the larger ones or visa versa. ProSelect will also report any error codes during Production as well.
