Edited images not found (even after using Relink All)

If you are editing original images and ProSelect can not find your edited files even after using the ReLink All in the Production window, then this can be due to one of the following.

  1. The date on the edited files are older than the originals (e.g. your editing computer has an older time/date set than the production computer).

  2. If using ProSelect v2012r2 and earlier version and you used "Copy Ordered Images" or similar (under the Album --> Original Images) to a folder that you nominate, this became the new source* for the copied images in the album so you either need to:

(a) Put the edited images into the new folder location
(b) Do a "force find" on your images and point this to the folder with the edited images. To do this hold the Shift key down while selecting Original Images -> Find Ordered Images then point to the relevant folder where your edited files are kept.

Hint: You can see which folder ProSelect expects each image to be in by selecting one image and doing a Show Selected Image Info (under Album menu) and looking at the path to the "Original File location".

* As of ProSelect v2013r1 and newer, when "Copy to" commands (under the Album menu --> Original Images) are used, this now leaves the internal links to the images in the original location. (Previously these were changing to the destination location). This makes it easier to simply replace the original images in the original folders after the selected images have been retouched.
