Empty folders after running Hi-Res Production

If you are using ProSelect's Hi-Res Production and completes very quickly or it creates the appropriate output folders in the exported location but there are no images in them, then you should check the following:

- Production finishes with an empty image in Photoshop
- Cannot connect to Photoshop on Mac
- Cannot connect to Photoshop on Windows
- Debugging Production Problems
- Cannot find Hi-Res Production Images

Using MAC OSX with a NAS drive

Following a reported problem with not being able to open image stored on a NAS drive from within ProSelect, we found that change the ":" path separator to a "/" in the Javascript file sent to Photoshop solved this problem.  We are not sure whether this is a Photoshop, OSX or NAS issue because it would work file if the images are stored on a non-NAS drive. This change was made in ProSelect 2016r1.9 (and newer) and found to work fine with versions of Photoshop from CS5 onwards.

Another reported issue was that Hi-Res Production was unable to save the output file to the NAS if root folder on the NAS was called "home" (eg 'home/output_files/myfile_150x200-08-A-Q01.jpg' in the script. The problem and solution was found in this Adobe article. We have not verified the solution at this stage.

Installed Hard Disk Names

Make sure that the hard disk where Photoshop is installed does not have the name of a folder specific to operating system functionality. For example, make sure that the hard drive or network drive isn't named "Applications" or "Users." Rename the drive if this is the case.

Attached Network Names

Make sure that any connected network drives don't have the name of a folder specific to operating system functionality. For example, make sure that you don't have drives or network volumes named "Applications" or "Users." Rename network drive to a nonconflicting name, if possible.  If not possible, disconnect the network drive while using Photoshop.

Make sure that none of your hard disk or network drive names are duplicated.

If you have duplicate hard disk or network drive names, then rename some to eliminate the duplicates. Make sure that all of your volume names—hard disk and network—are unique.

Otherwise...

Check Write Permissions & Destination is mounted

Optionally this may be a read/write/access "Privilages" issue in the location you are trying to create these folders and files. Or if the location is not on your computer's hard disk, then make sure the attached drive/networked drive is still available to access on that computer.
