Book design information from your Lab

ProSelect will produce any size of book with each page being output as a jpg, tiff or .psd file. So you simply need to setup your ProSelect "book design" to match the Labs requirement.

Information from your Lab which will be helpful is:

  1. Required DPI
  2. Out file type (.jpg, .tiff or .psd)
  3. Overall page size including any bleed (such as 3/8") for each side
  4. Do double spread pages need to be produced as one big file or split into two parts (one for each side)?

The webinar recording "Working with Books for Big Bucks" on our "Webinar Recording Archives" page (under the Learn menu on the web site) has more about this.

Future ProSelect version

In the ProSelect software release planned for around June 2012, we will be providing template position and size data in xml format. This is so that suppliers with mat cutters can convert this into a format that can be read by their mat cutting machines. This will require some programming on their part but this data should be able to be converted into a format for any machine.
