Importing Favorites (Stars) from Lightroom

If you are using the "Star" settings in Lightroom and the ProSelect Plugin for Lightroom, then the plug-in doesn't actually transfer based on star settings. However it does honor ProSelect's import settings for which tab you are importing into.

If you set ProSelect's Preferences --> Importing Images --> Settings --> Adding images --> Load into: Selected Tab, you can then

  1. Select the Yes tab in ProSelect, select your favorite images (eg 4 stars) in Lightroom then Export them into a New ProSelect album. They will load into the Yes tab.
  2. Select the Maybe tab in ProSelect then select other images (eg 3 stars) in Lightroom then Export them into the same album (select Add to Open Album option this time).
  3. Do the same with No tab if you wish.

It is easier to select favourites in ProSelect with the client present instead!

Note: We believe that Alan Gambrel is working on his own Ligthroom Plugin which will allow you to do this on one go. Not sure what the status is on this.
