Missing bevels on right & bottom edges on final images

In versions of ProSelect prior to 2081r1, bevels around an image were drawn with their right and bottom edges as a pure white color (#FFFFFF). If you also had a pure white mat then ProSelect would slightly darken the mat color so these edges of the bevel were visible. This action was also carried through to High-Res Production when you were exporting Composite Layouts with "faux" bevels.

ProSelect 2018r1 and newer versions, now uses a more realistic way to draw bevels with each edge being a different shade of grey and it no longer changes the color of white mats with bevels in High-Res Production.

Existing styles in your earlier version of ProSelect (2017r1 and earlier) are automatically converted to Mats when you first run ProSelect 2018r1 or newer. Styles with a bevel are converted into a mat with a "Bevel (Legacy)" edge type to keep your existing designs looking the same, however, exported composite images with the legacy bevels edge will appear to be missing in the final exported images as shown below.

Solutions

There are a number of solutions to this problem:

A. The recommended method is to convert any mats with a "Bevel (Legacy)" type to use the new "Bevel Cut" edge type. This is done in the Mat Designs window (under Resources menu) - see image below.  After making this change you need to re-apply the updated Mat to your layout. Note: If you have already added the layout to your order, you will need to first remove it from the order, then apply the mat, then re-order the layout.

B. If you want to keep using the old bevel style then, in the Mat Designs window, change the mat color to very light grey (eg #F8F8F8 or lower). Then reapply that mat to your layout. Then run production again. Your selected mat color will be carried through to Production providing a contrast against the pure white bevel color.

C. Make the mat color adjustment in Photoshop. In the High-Res production window, when producing your composite layout, check the "Keep Open in Photoshop" checkbox. Run Production and switch to Photoshop when it is finished. Select the Mat layer and fill it with the very light grey color of your choice so there is a good contrast between the mat and the bevel. Save the updated image file.
