ProSelect minimizes when opening some dialog windows

Windows 10

Windows 10 has a feature called Tablet Mode that will minimize an application to the Taskbar when a sub-window is opened. If you have this turned one, it can cause ProSelect to minimize when you open another window from within ProSelect.

So to fix this problem, you just need to turn the Tablet Mode off.

You can disable Tablet Mode using one of the following methods:

Method 1:

  1. Click on Action Center (or Notification Center) icon in Taskbar notification area.
  2. Now click on "Tablet mode" tile to disable the tablet mode immediately.

Method 2:

  1. Open Start Menu and click on Settings option. It'll open Settings app. Alternatively, you can direct open Settings app using WIN+I hotkey.
  2. Now click on "System" icon and in left-side pane, click on "Tablet Mode" section.
  3. Now set the given options as following:
    • When I sign in - Use desktop mode
    • When this device automatically switches tablet mode on or off - Don't ask me and don't switch
    • Hide app icons on the taskbar in tablet mode - OFF
    • Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode - OFF

Window 7

We Googled this issue for Windows 7 users and found a few possible solutions:

1. One user found that AVG anti-virus software was the cause. He uninstalled it and the problem went away

2. Disabling Aero Peek by right-clicking on the taskbar then select Properties. In the window that opens, under the taskbar tab, uncheck "Use Aero Peek to Preview the Desktop".
