Server Shutdown Effective October 1, 2025
After years of continued support, the activation servers for legacy TimeExposure versions of ProSelect will be permanently shut down on October 1, 2025.
Unfortunately, once these servers are shut down, your obsolete version of ProSelect will no longer be able to operate.
Background
In October 2021, Pro Studio Software, Inc. acquired the ProSelect source code, beginning with Version 2022. This was an intellectual property purchase only. It did not include the purchase of the company TimeExposure, which has since closed its doors.
Although our purchase did not include TimeExposure's financial or future obligations, we agreed to honor and fully fulfill all active PLUS plans held by legacy users at the time. In addition, we chose voluntarily to continue maintaining the server infrastructure needed to keep older versions of ProSelect functioning. We have maintained these services for four years without compensation. While we were not required to do so, we felt it was the right thing to do. It was a gesture of respect for a loyal community that has helped shape what ProSelect is today.
Why This Change Must Happen
The versions of ProSelect affected by this change are ProSelect 2020r1 and earlier. They are considered obsolete and are no longer supported. These versions rely on outdated and insecure internet technologies and require access to the domain TimeExposure.com, which we will no longer license or use.
The original End User License Agreement (EULA) from TimeExposure clearly stated that each version of ProSelect would become obsolete and unsupported five years after its release. This change is consistent with that agreement and is necessary to maintain the security and sustainability of our systems.
We Understand This May Be a Difficult Decision
You may no longer rely on ProSelect, or you may have transitioned to another solution. You may simply be holding on to a version that has served you well for many years. We understand that.
Still, we want to give you the opportunity to move forward with a new generation of ProSelect in a way that best suits your needs.
